Just had my truck delivered last night from out of state dealer. After all the papers were signed and I took the keys and went for a test drive I realized that there was no keyless entry FOB! Doesn't every vehicle these days have keyless entry w/power locks? Dealer is closed today so I thought I would ask you guys.

Keyless entry is part of the "Advanced Security Group" option. This includes autolamp, autolock(auto trans), illuminated entry, remote keyless-entry W/Drivers door keypad. I think it's only standard on Lariat and FX4, $315.00 option for the XLT package.

I don't know about a 2008, but the older trucks you had to get a new Gem module and do alot of stuff. It was expensive. If you have the power locks then I would just get an aftermarket alarm. They are easier to hook up and then you will have a key fob with keyless entry.

I was hoping you would say that! I don't mind aftermarket I was just hoping it was do-able. I honestly never thought to ask if it had keyless entry. I just figured that was a given in cars these days
