I've had 2 of my fender flares replaced due to coming unglued. I was thinking of the same thing.

How did you remove the mastic material from the truck?? How did you remove the FX4 sticker?

Post some pics.

I totally intended on removing my fender flares on my FX4..... but I went a different direction that looks pretty good too...... I bought a set of KMC beadlocks and had them powder coated charcoal metallic.... I took the side vents out and painted them charcoal metallic.... and I put a front light bar on... also charcoal metallic..... the truck looks pretty good.

Hairdryer, then slowly peel it off while continuing to apply heat which softens the adhesive.

FX4 Fender Flares

Hello-

I just bought an '09 FX4 and would like to put the Gray (bumper matching) fender flares on.

Apparently Ford decided to cut corners again and stopped putting them on the '09 FX4's even though they are shown and listed in the '09 brochure.

Please IM me if you have a set you'd like to sell.

Thanks!

I actually think I sent you a message via ebay today regarding if you still had your original factory fender flares.

I like the FX4 Silver decals, are they similar to the factory ones and if so, did you just duplicate them in Silver?

My new truck is the Dark Blue, so those might look nice on mine.

Looking at your e-bay ad again, you might want to take a better close up photo to show the detail. It's hard to see what they actually look like from the pic you have posted.

Juggy, should be fairly easy, about 5 screws along the inside edge hold it in place. At which point, they should just about fall off, so be sure to hold them in place till that last screw is removed.

It's also possible the dealer or factory may have also used a 2 sided tape to hold them in place as well as the screws, but I haven't heard of that being done.
