Here are some pictures of my new Pioneer Premier AVIC F90BT. Installed it along with some JL Audio C2-570x speakers in my doors. I will move these speakers to the rear and get some nice JL components and an amp when I order my subs and the rest of my system.
Over sounds better than factory, the nav works well, has bluetooth for cell phones, ipod etc.
Its a nice unit with tons of options. Pretty affordable too.

I did it myself. Taking the ford unit out is super easy. Its 6 Bolts, and unlpug everthing and thats it.
Installing the new one is a little tougher as I soldered all the wires from the pioneer harness to the ford adapter harness. Also you need to ground a couple of wires in order to allow the video and navigation to play while you are driving.
Its easy if you know what your doing. If you have never installed a stereo I wouldnt advise attempting on a unit like this. It takes patience and little bit of planning.

do they not make an interface for this unit to the Ford harness?
They make a Pioneer/Ford harness for easy installs. For the Nav install there are more things to hook up than just batt/ign/ground and speakers so soldering is still a must. You need parking brake (ground), reverse wire, etc. Those are not part of the factory harness.
If your not comfortable soldering than you can use crimp connectors as long as you use a pro crimp tool (like Snap On). The cheap ones don't work well.
If your not comfortable crimping either than I suggust you do not attempt this install alone.
