Thumbs up Pics of my 08 F450 Kelderman 4 bag kit

Hey Guys,

Just picked up my truck today from the garage. It is raining like a SOB. I will take better pics soon....

Let me tell you guys that this kit is amazing. The truck rides AWESOME. The fit and finish is by far one of the best if not the best we have ever seen.

The new wheels will come in next week or the week after.

ROB

PS... The train horns are BAD A$$!!!!! I am going to get in trouble with these.

How much is the four bag kit for the 450? Did you install yourself? Must work great for leveling out the loads.

I think it is something like $3500-$4000 for a bag kit.
The question I have, which is better if you don't plan on hauling anything. A Bag Lift or a Suspension lift?

Also, which has a better ride?

Thanks guys !!!

The four bag kit with the 5150 shocks, steering stablizers, auto leveling kit, 4 link rear and all labor and taxes was just under $10,000. The ride is superb, MUCH BETTER than my 06 that is in my sig. I love that fact that I can lower the truck back down to unload the bed, work on the front engine bay, go through auto car washes and the ride. It took the shop almost a full week to install, but it looks good.

Now the wheels should be in this week. I will post new pics as soon at the wheels and new rear fender flares are painted and installed.

Very nice!

Question:
1. What's the vertical travel from empty to fully inflated?
2. Time it takes to go from completely empty to fully inflated?
3. What size is your compressor (and reserve tank, if you have one)?

Any more pics? I would love to see it with the new wheels and tires. What did you decide to run?

Also, what train horn do you have on the truck?

And lastly, when you hit the train horns, do the air bags go lower?

My F-550 based EarthRoamer has been upgraded to Kelderman Air Suspension with automatic level control (AccuAirs). Mine is a 6 bag version (two bags each rear side) in order to allow a 12,000 lb rear axle weight. (Each bag is rated for 3000 lb). I have 7000 series reservoir Bilstein shocks and a Kelderman dual Bilstein steering stabilizer. The AccuAir controller provides for 3 re-settable ride heights, dump and individual corner leveling. The overall ride and off-road performance is fantastic as it allows much greater articulation and much smoother ride.

My Compressor is an OASIS XD3000 with a 5 gallon tank. Starting with a full tank, it inflates the system from fully deflated (dump) position to normal ride height in less than 30 seconds (6 bags!).

Not cheap, but -- money well spent!
