Pro Comp XXX kit

Well Im really looking hard at getting the 8 inch PC XXX kit. I know there arent a lot of Pro Comp fans out there, but this kit just looks solid. It looks great and looks to be solid for off roading. Im wondering if there is anyone on here who has it or knows someone personally who has it. Normally Id look at the fabtech and or Rize, probably leaning towards the latter, but this kit just looks amazing. So, anyone with any personal experience with this kit?

Heres the link, Stage II Systems

i predict...
cary will come in and tell you that rize and icon are the only lifts worth buying
overkill will come in and tell you to buy a 4 link kit from rize.

I am running a pro comp lift, but not the xxx.
The arms and trac bar drop are the same as that kit, and they are both top notch pieces.
other than that, i cant help you

Thanks. Do you know what grade the pieces are? I tried calling Pro Comp, but they havent returned by phone call. But with you saying they top notch, thats a good thing. Everyone says get the 4 link if money is no issue, well I think the 5 link would be better. Also, with ur lift, how hard is getting in? Id be going with the 8inch and 38s, so im debating about the amp research steps.

I say go for it bro...That kit looks really stout...The higher end Pro Comp kits are competitive with all the other higher end kits...Everyone I've known with a XX front kit with a 5 link never complained.

Install it and let us know how it holds up

looks like I will have to wait for a while. The 08 kit is different than the previous model year and they had some problems with the rear shock bracket (it was too short) and a few other minor problems they were tweaking. They got a few show trucks with the kit on it. But as soon as it is available for sale, I will buy it. ETA is probably looking like beginning of next year according to PC. I guess thats good, gives me enough time to save up for lift, rims, and tires.

On the contrary, I believe the Procomp coil-overs are the best damn shocks a 12 year old Chinese kid can build.

On our webstore, it should be pretty easy to see all the options listed and select what you want to go with:

Rize Industries 8 Inch Quad Link System - 2008 F250/F350 SRW - Truck Toyz Store

Another option would be the Icon 7-9" 4-link with the Icon Coilovers.
Icon Vehicle Dynamics 2008 FSD 7-9 Inch Coil-over 4-Link Suspension System - Truck Toyz Store

Well 8,000.00 is a waste on that if you ask me. Not saying it isnt nice, but unless your going to spend more time off road than on (Way More) then whats the point? I mean that 8K could be spent in better places else where. JMHO.

Many people say the same thing about $7K diesel engines and $50K+ SDs in general (unless you are going to spend more time towing than not ). It would seem that some people just like owning nice things. To each his own.

FWIW, proper suspension geometry and supple suspension travel which makes for a good off-road performance also translates to a stable and plush on-road performance.

I think he means you can get acceptable performance for less money(icon and rize dont run 8K for an adequate lift kit, do they?)

With the king upgrade, they are around 8k, otherwise, they are around 3-6k
