Rear Wheel position after 8" lift

From the below pictures you may notice that the rear wheel is not sitting in the middle of the fender well. It is sitting closer to the rear section of the fender well. This happened after lifting. Is this normal?

Sometimes depends on the lift kit and if they changed the center pin location to compensate for the lift arch.

Aftermarket arched springs will deflect more than the relatively flat stock springs. As such some manufactures compensate for this deflection by shifting the center pins forward. This allows the spring to defect while still providing sufficient tire clearance on the back of the fenderwell.

When lift blocks are used on '08 SDs we must use offset center pins (which shift the axle forward) in order to maintain proper axle centering. This is due to the angle of the springs which causes the axle to be shifted rearward as the distance between the spring and axle is increased.

your pin isnt offset(that is the bolt in the middle of your springs) because you still have stock springs, i have the same lift and the same results

We offer the '08 specific offset blocks in 4" & 6". These will make a noticeable difference in the axle position.

The only blocks I would ever install.

My axle is centered, and it rides perfectly.

ZeroOne is correct. OUO Traction Blocks are the only proper method of block usage above 6". We offer '08 specific OUO blocks with offset center pins and adjustable top plates from 3" to 10".

Marty,

Thanks for all the info. I believe I`ll need 8" Tall, 5 Degree + pinion angle change blocks + the traction bars.

How much are they and what would be the shipping weight?
