Removing the side vents?

i would like to take the side vents off of my 08 CC to change some stuff whats the easiest way?

Item Part Number Description
1 16015 RH/ 16016 LH Front fender
2 16C026 Front fender vent

Removal and Installation

NOTE: Left side shown, right side similar.

NOTE: Fender moulding is one-time-use only.

Remove the front fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to Section 501-02.
Remove the front fender vent.
Through the front fender wheel well, release the clips for the front fender vent.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

I used a 90* pick to pull out the top piece then just grab the bottom piece and pull it out. Some guys have used a flat blade screw driver with tape wrapped around it to pry the top trim out. It only takes 10 seconds to get them off. Don't waste your time removing the inner fender.

I used a plastic squeege type thing (I sell decals on ebay) to pry then out. My son fell asleep in his company truck a month or so back and ran in a ditch and the one on the ditch side popped right out! I wouldn't recommend the ditch method though.
