Shock time-

Well, it's time for a new set of shocks for my 2008 SD-SC-Shortbed. I had a set of Bilsteins on my 2002 CC and they were really nice. Are Bilsteins still the way to go or is there something new I should consider.

Go with the Rancho 9000 you can set them to ride how you want as well they have a life time warranty if they go bad they will extange them for new ones. My trucj rides so much better then the stockers you this your in a car but i have mine set soft.

I had Rancho's on my 1997 and they always gave me a good ride. My Bilsteins on my 2002 also were good ones. I have a full set of Eidlebrock's on my 1996 Bronco and tey have also been good ones. I wonder what the Baja racers generally use on their rigs. Anyone know which one is the most used shock in running the Baja??

I've been running Ranchos on my vehicles since 1996 and upgraded to the 9000's when I got my '99 F250. I replaced the fronts twice under warranty and the rears once (in 185K miles.) I even have them on my wife's '97 F150 regular cab SB, the way she drives, she needs them!

Seems like there are two camps: The Rancho guys and the Bilstein guys. Never tried the Bilsteins, I like the adjustability of the 9000's.

I had trued the bilsteins as a frend of mine is how i get my parts for cost and the bilsteins are mush stifer as well not adjustable the rancho's are from mush softer to stifer then stock so you can get them how you want i have my front at #7 and #3 in the rear and it rides so much better then stock softer but not mushy set there. When i tow i put the rears at 4 and you dont feal any bumps at all but it is not mushy!

I have Icon Vehicle Dynamics own shocks on my Super Duty and the ride is very smooth, comparable to the Bilsteins that were on my previous truck. Fox Racing also makes a replacement shock for our trucks, and Fox is one of the best in the business...
