Anyone done one with the tailgate step? Wondering if they charged alot more for the masking. Tried a search, but with a 3 word limit, it was tough to find anythinig.

I had mine done.

They removed the tailgate, so there was no extra masking.

Had mine done. They removed the tailgate. $400.00 as compared to $480.00 if they had done the tailgate.

I had mine done and it was $25 cheaper as they didn't have to spray the tail gate.

why the hell would you not want the tailgate sprayed? Does it not need protected?

If you have the tailgate step, the tailgate is already covered in a ribbed plastic liner. Similar to a drop in liner.

Had mine done with LineX, mine was $480 but I don't know if there was an option to delete for less $
They masked around the plastic and shot any exposed metal on the gate. I guess if I had an option to save $80 I would have taken it because not very much there to cover.

Thanks guys. After I posted, I went outside and noticed that there was already a plastic cover. Talked to a local Rhino, and he said they take ~$20 off because they don't do the tailgate with the step.

I had Line-X sprayed on the truck as part of the deal to buy. The Line-X dealer removed the plastic guard on the tailgate, sprayed tailgate then put the plastic guard back on. Love the product and highly recommend having it done.

Had Line-X done too. about $430, they masked the around the plastic on the tailgate and did an excellent job. I asked about taking the plastic off, but they deferred given the mechanics under the cover. Looks good and any place it may contact stuff from the bed is covered. No up-charge for taping on the tailgate.
