Talon Air Suspension

I'm looking to see if anyone has put the Talon air suspension on their '08. It's a complete swap out of the leaf spring suspension with a commercial style air bag system.

Truck Air Suspension Systems for American Pickups from Talon

I'm looking for personal experiences before I put out $4k for the system.

I'm tired of the kidney shake on SoCal freeways!

I'm not looking for increased payload or leveling, so I'm not interested in help bags.

I have ordered the kit in black for my 08 F450 but i have not received it yet. they said it will take about 3 weeks I will let you know if it ride likes the demo. I have looked a several systems and all are close in price. I feel this one looked stronger then the other spring replacement systems and I want to be able to haul 24,000 lbs if i need to with no worries.
We have to pay to play.

Cool! Keep me posted. If it works as advertised, I just have to work on the DW to get "permission."

I'v been looking at this system for a good year, but no one has posted a reply when asking about it. I have a 01 and love the truck, but hate the ride unloaded. I only have 64K on it,but my wife say's I'm crazy wanting to spend 4K on a 7 year old truck and I shoud just buy a new truck. But I look at 4K is cheaper than a 38K new truck and the truck I have has been a good one.

Thumbs up Talon Air Ride

Mattebury,
yes I recived the talon air ride system, I hade to what on two fittings that got broken during shipment.
Everything is here now and I will start installling it soon. this system looks much heavy than the other systems I looked at..I cant wait to get i on my F450 DRW . i have a friend that has one one a F350 DRW and the ride is fantastic it takes a lot of the kindey busting out of the ride when empty loaded the start and stops are smooth.

brotherxb, is your truck in good shape are you planning to sell it anytime soon? theses are questions you need to answer. Spending 4K on a system like this on a 7 year old truck don't plan on getting any of it back if your planning to trade in or sell any time soon.. do you haul a lot? if so maybe a system like this is for you if you don't you need to think long and hard if you want to spend 4k just to improve your ride.. all the systems i looked at will end up costing around 4k if your able to put it on your self.

Are you able to use this system with a lifted truck. I have my F250 lifted 4.5" and leveled in the back, so just wondering if I could use this system with a lifted truck?

talon on a lifted truck

I can not asnswer that you would need to ask the compnay that engineers the systems, and if your truck is lifted already do you use it for hauling heavy loads? look for the system you want and ask th manufacture if the system can be used for your truck.
