Tire Valve Extenders

The way Ford has set up the valve stems on my rear tires they can be a SOB to check the air pressure or add air. The stems point into the middle between the tires, and there is only a 2" (max.) opening in the aluminum rims to get to them. Lord help me if I decided to take off the valve cap and drop it between the tires!

Does anyone know where I can get a GOOD set of valve stem extenders that fit these trucks?

Thanks.

John

Thanks, Kent. I had seen your prior thread.

The question I have with the Camping World extenders is whether they can be clipped to my Aluminum Rims -- I wonder if anyone has actually used them successfully?

I think I had read someplace where somebody used an extender that had a rubber plug that fit into the 2" holes in their aluminum rim to hold the extender in place. I've seen where Haltec sells an extender like that (see Haltec.com) but I'm not sure which extender of theirs is the right one for my rims, and whether a rigid extender would line up with the holes in the outside rim like a flexible extender would.

I don't have to take the cap off the stems on my rims, they have the caps that you just put the air fitting over. (either hose or tire pressure gauge) What took me forever to find was a dual head tire pressure gauge that had a small enough head to be able to reach the inner dual. True, it takes a bit more time to check and fill the inner dual, but it doesn't seem too bad to me.
