Truck Camper on a Lifted 08' F250?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone with a lifted 08' F250 is using it with a truck camper? I was planning on getting a 4.5-6 in lift for my truck, but was able to get a great deal on the camper, and now I wonder if getting the lift is out due to the truck being too high(higher center of gravity). Any pics would be great, as well as experiences, cautions, considerations. Thanks!

This may or may not help - I have an '08 F250 also but no lift. I wanted to lift mine but we take our Lance 845 Camper onto the beach. There are always some pretty deep ruts on the beach and the truck gets to swaying pretty good with the camper on board. I figured if I lifted it, I might just end up on my roof. The truck came with the factory "snow plow package" so it has heavier front springs. I added Airlift Air Bags to the rear as well as a Hellwig rear sway bar to help carry the camper. It's up to you but these slide-ins make the trucks top heavy. Lots of pictures on my web site:

My Truck

then click on the "Camping Pictures" link at the top of the page. Hope this helps?

Thanks Jim, actually you did help. If I decide to go with no lift, then I would do what you did and just get some bigger tire and wheels. What offset do your rims have? Any rubbing?

Glad it helped - the wheels have 0 offset and 4.5" backspacing. Here's a link to the wheels at 4 Wheel Parts:

Helo Series HE842 Wheel

No rubbing at all - Ford opened up the wheel wells on the 08 and up SD's so I'm sure that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions - I'll help where I can.

I have a Lance 835 TC on an 08 F350 SRW. I would not get a lift kit. The TC makes for a stable but can be Top Heavy load depending on the terrain you're driving on. I've never been happy with the factory tires either so if you upgrade to bigger tires just make sure they are E-rated and have a very high load rating. I'm waiting on the factory Conti's to wear some more so I can get something better.
