where is factory sirius antenna routed

Have 08 f350 lariat and came with sirius radio, 5 years ago I had a pioneer navi (avic z3) put in and the guy that did it decided to use the sirius antenna that came with the navi unit and sirius module, therefore, I have the clean factory antenna on top of cab (not in current use) AND an aftermarket sirius antenna on the cab as well, never really put much thought into it but now it bugs me seeing it.

I yanked off and unplugged the aftermarket antenna that got ran down passenger pillar to behind glove box where sirius module is, but how can I find where the end of the factory antenna is???

I see that it runs down the driver pillar wrapped together with all roof clearance lights and goes under dash near front corner. I don't feel like tearing dash apart to follow it, so maybe someone can fill in the blank here. Just want to find the end of the factory antenna and splice the added length (if needed) to the aftermarket end that plugs into my little sirius module behind glove box so I can utilize the factory antenna that looks clean on the roof.

I was also thinking I could just tap into factory antenna right above headliner where it comes through roof and run the aftermarket wire to it from other side of headliner, but hoping for an easier/cleaner method.

Any advice, tips, help, would be greatly appreciated.

The antenna is connected to the small silver Sirius tuner box located to the lower left of the steering wheel when you remove the knee kick plate under the wheel. Remove the plug, it has a yellow tab on it. If you remove the yellow tab, it will fit in any after market Sirius radio.

I picked up a Kenwood DDX790 today so this actually helps me out a lot. I'll try this in the morning when I install everything. Thanks.

With my Kenwood I used an aftermarket antenna. Left the Factory one along. I ran the antenna up the drivers door side of the dash on then put it on the dash in the corner. You don't even know it is there. Tucked in the corner. Reception is excellent.

That's what I've done on previous vehicles, but they didn't have a factory installed satellite antenna. I figure since it's already there why not use it?
