There are two spots. You should look at a small cb though. I found the smallest was the Uniden PRO520XL.

1. I mounted my Uniden PRO520XL to the console in front of the passenger seat. The seat will still move forward with the cb inbetween the seat and console.
I got the power from the upfitter switch.

2. Cup holder. I saw a guy had mounted the cb to the cup holder. out of sight when folded down. I use my cup holder all the time. That's where I keep my pistol grip spot light.

The guye at cbradiosplus.com can tune your Uniden PRO520XL for additional wattage.

Wink wher to mount a CB

I bought a Cobra WXST most of the works are in the mike and just a little box that I mounted under the seat. I run the pwr and coax under the floor boads out side and brought them up under the seat. It takes a while but worth it. Good Luck

I have a Radio Shack that is in its third truck. I mounted it on the dash in between the shifter and the glove box. It just fits in all angles. I have the mic in a plastic holder I screwed to the pop-out piece of plastic to the left of the climate control knobs. I ran the power off the cigar lighter, because I want constant power. Upfitters are no good if the truck won't start.

I just sucked it up and drilled 2 holes in the brace above the windshield right above the rear view mirror. That's were I had it mounted in my 2000 and it's up there out of the way of everything.

My Cobra is mounted under the dash under the steering wheel. It fits nicely between the knees while driving and is still very accessible.

Check out my PICTURES. I mounted my Galaxy in front of the center console. No bolts or brackets -- just good double sided tape.
