I do not really care about the mileage issue. I have read much about problems some have had with their 6.4l, but I have not had those probelsm and at 27k miles very satisfied. I even would consider getting another 6.4L since the 09/10 maybe the last of the navistar diesels before they make more changes for the good/bad. I am wondering if there are "insiders" on the scorpion 6.7l out there or others with advice on the 6.4L v. waiting on the 6.7 Scorpion which I understand is a "true" diesel? Thoughts?

Here is a link to a thread on another site. This guy that posted it seems to have some inside information on the 6.7.

Financially speaking with purchasing a 09 6.4, only you can answer that.
If you do, two years will be up and you will be able to hear how well the new 6.7 scorpion is doing when your ready once again to get a new truck....
This new 6.7 scorpion will have a new six speed transmission. Now with recent track records of the last decade of super duty releases of new drive train. It makes a person a little gun shy. There was a thread just the other day some suggested to check with the Blue oval site. They just posted a new flash for the ecm of the 6.4's. Point is they seem to have up to date information as well.
Just like any complex mechanical release from a production facility. As time goes by, the operaiting systems are updated and refined. So I would imagine that Ford and Navistar are just about to that point once again. Remember the 6.0 ..... Now people with 2006 6.0 are pretty darn happy with them.
If you are not worried about millage and every thing is a write off in your company .... why not.
The back up camera came out last year of the F-150 from what I was told. I really like the idea, want to add the option to my existing truck.
