True since the 2005 models. GVWR is now determined by model, cab, engine, 4x4 or 4x2, and bed length. The heavier the truck, the more GVWR it has, so that all have about the same payload capacity. For F-250, GVWR ranges from 8,800 for a 5.4L regular cab 4x2 to 10,000 for a PSD longbed CrewCab 4x4.

The navigation system and chrome pkg cannot be ordered on the CC.
There's something wrong with that statement. The Order Guide makes no mention of such restrictions. In fact, the Chrome pkg (17M) is "optional on XLT and Lariat SuperCab and CrewCab only". The navigation system (58M) is available on Cabela's and Lariat with 91M, 76V, and 76R and automagic tranny, but no mention of it not being available on CrewCabs.

My Sierra Blanca in the sig pic was a great pickup for 11.5 years. I sold it last year. Replacement is a 2012 F-150 EcoBoost SuperCrew Lariat.
Does CC mean Cab and Chassis in this case? If so then it makes sense.
Yep. You got me.
But CC usually means CrewCab on this forum, and chassis cabs have had more GVWR than the same model pickups for several years. For example, for 2003 model year, F-350 DRW CrewCab chassis cab with diesel engine had a GVWR of 12,500 pounds, while the same specs in a pickup had 11,200.

I recently bought an F250 4X4 Lariat with the Chrome Package. A great package!
I do not think so personally. Ford did a good job taking money for not much benefit here. Even if it looks nice it was clear to me not to waste my money here.
I just went throught the same thing when ordering the remote start. F does not offer it factory installed. It is a dealership send out and the cost which I was quoted today was just over $600.00 my response, throw it on there.. and if you have a kitchen sink.. include it cause I know it will haul it.
I have enquired about the detuning of the 450 and the answer I was given is that the 4:30LS gearing somehow correlates to the extra 25 ponies offered in the 350 model with a 4:10. The torque ratio is also factored into the difference between a F-350 with a maximum rear axle ratio of a 4:10LS Also the F-450 is governed to 85 MPH and the tires have the potential to come apart after 85 mPH. ON the gear ratios, well, I don't use this smiley face thing real often but I had to shake my head, or roll my eyes at this response. It could be true.. I have seen and heard stranger things. I just cannot confirm or deny it.
The specs on the 2010 F-450 2x4 as opposed to the 4x4 show the 2X with a higher CCC of close to 350 lbs due to less weight of two wheel drive front axle. The four wheel drive front axle adds the extra weight which is deducted from payload capacity and whistles in at a whopping 5830 lbs. The overall GVWR of both rigs is 14500. The difference between the payload is the difference between the weights of the 4x4 front axle and a 4x2 front axle.
I have been all through this latest brochure as I just ordered the F-450 so I figured the more I know the better off I am....oh...still learning.

You did well with your 09.
I will have to have it done afterwards as there is a remote keyless entry and the remote start all wrapped up in one key. From what Bobby said, the keyless entry works in unison with the remote start and this key is of a proximity type...all tied into one....so there are a few factors vying for my immediate attention.
Either way, this will be the most state of the art vehicle I have ever owned and I am looking forward to it. After seeing the 2011, I am reminded to hug Bobby when I see him for guiding me through some tough questions concerning the purchase of my choice.

Got the factory remote start on ours too, sticker said $345 I believe. It's pretty slick, and it does have a delay for the glow plugs to warm up and the computer to do it's system check. It's about a 30 second delay.
