So there is a glow plug sensor and pre heater? Now I need a little help. I thought this new rig would start the minute you put the key in a turn it. I know my 02 had a delay with that hotcoil light in the dash read out.. when it went out you could start it. It sounds like this 2010 is somewhat the same? I do not know.

Don't worry, it's the same. If you put a key in and turn it on once the glowplugs are warmed up, if it's even cold outside, it'll start right up. The remote start though just gives a little extra delay so there are no errors. It's just a precautionary delay. It'll also lock the doors once it starts up. Once you get in, you stick the key in and turn it to the On position, don't crank it. If you put your foot on the brake before doing this it'll turn the truck off.
