Any 09 News?

It seems like this time last year we knew all about the 08's. I am trying to decide if I want to jump on an 08 or wait to see what is in store for 09. As Ford sweetens the incentive pot I am starting to lean towards 08. Has anyone heard anything on what to expect for 09?

'08 was an unusual model year, with production beginning in January and will probably continue until the normal late-June changeover date.

If '09 is a "normal" model year with production beginning immediately after the late June/early July two-week summer vacation for the assembly plant workers, then expect the order guides for the '09 models to be available in late March or early April, with the order bank opening in late April or sometime in May for production beginning in Mid-July.

IOW, keep an eye on Bobby Williams' website and download the first of the '09 order guides as soon as they are available - my guess is late March. Click on this for Bobby's website: Sunrise Ford Fleet, 16005 Valley Blvd, Fontana, Ca, 92335

Thanks. I am getting impatient, I know if I wait for the next model I will never end up getting a new truck but with my luck I will buy an 08 and the 09's will be 20k cheaper and made of solid gold.

So I am guessing March/April is the latest you'll be able to order a 2008?

Not necessarily, I'd think you'd be able to order them till at least May. I wonder if ford will really have anything spectacular to add to the 09s. A lot of people talk about the six speed, but I doubt it, and then if that does come out everyone will say, "oh you better wait, you don't know what kind of troubles you might have with that brand new transmission and one year old motor." I'm hoping you can order till may sometime.

Yeah I'd really like to take advantage of the incentives on the 2008s. And I know the truck I want isn't on many lots.... Haven't heard a lot about the 09s that would make me to get the worst interest rate.....

WJb, I dont need peer pressure I am getting very weak on this lately. I went to "look" at one the other day at my local dealer just to make sure it was really what I want. I just thank god no salesperson talked to me because I would have signed my life away after looking at the truck for a few minutes.
