cant find a 450...

hope this is ok for this forum i didnt know where else to put it. well ive got 60k on my 05 ive put $7000 since november 15 and now it need another 1500 because my first shop screwed up and now its "out of warranty" the money ive spent is rediculous so im thinking about replacing with a 450 since i can buy one cheaper than repair. problem is since im short a truck i was looking around for one on a lot and cant find one. i am picky but its hard to order and wait a few months with out a truck. i wouldnt mind buying i guess if i atleast found a color/trim i like but I CANT FIND ONE! where do i look? how do i find them? no local dealers have em. also in the event i dont find one what are the waiting times looking like on ordering now? if i order now is it still job 2 or only taking orders on job 3's? thanks all. sorry for a long post about that but i want to make a decission by monday to shop or order. thanks

Your first step should be to make close friends with a really-good dealerperson that knows his stuff. If you don't have one, then I'd suggest Bobby Williams. He's been a sponsor of TheDieselStop for several years, and his hundreds of customers all swear he is fantastic. I haven't seen even one ***** about him. And I found out a few days ago that he's just a kid - barely 30 years old - but very successful because he takes really good care of every one of his customers. He's worked his way up to being the fleet manager for a huge Ford store, but he still handles his own customers in his unique way. Granted, he may assign one of his guys to handle the paperwork and details of your deal, but he'll be there for you to fuss at if you're not perfectly happy.

Bobby can use the Ford locator system and look nationwide if necessary to find your new truck. If there's one in stock anywhere he can find it. Hopefully there'll be one somewhere "out west", but if not would you fly to Texas or Indiana or somewhere to pick it up? If you would, then contact Bobby and put him to work.

If Bobby can find one near his store in SoCal, then would you go to LA to pick it up? That would be the least expensive way to get one, probably.

And the best thing about using Bobby is you'll get the best price available anywhere. He'll be certain you get all the rebates and incentives you qualify for, and the price will be close to invoice minus the Ford rebates/incentives.

Anyway, contact Bobby and discuss it with him. Click on this link: Sunrise Ford Fleet - Contact Info

also in the event i dont find one what are the waiting times looking like on ordering now?
The best person to answer that question is Bobby Williams. He orders them every day. All we can tell you is the normal "6 to 8 weeks, maybe longer" answer you'll get from any good dealerperson.

If you order the truck, then order from Bobby. He'll keep you informed every step of the way, and tell you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Plus he can have the new truck delivered to you by a dealer near you in Utah if you don't want to fly into Ontario airport to pick it up from him.

if i order now is it still job 2 or only taking orders on job 3's?
Job 2 production ceased about a month ago. The only thing Ford is producing right now is Job 3. So not even Bobby can order you a Job 2 truck. But he can find one in stock somewhere if there's still one in captivity.

A used car dealer out here has had an F-450 6.4 KR DRW LWB Crew Cab on the lot for at least 6 months. I bet they would be willing to make a deal to get rid of it.
