Depends on exactly what you mean by "confirms".
The vehicle ordering system will print out the "order confirmation" sheet as soon as the dealer hits the "send" button", provided the dealer didn't order something that is not allowed. But all that sheet does is confirm what the dealer ordered. It does
not tell you that Ford has accepted the order and will build it.
After one business day or so, Ford will then send (transmit) the dealer a dealer order receipt acknowledgment (DORA). That DORA confirms that Ford received the order and will build the truck as listed on the DORA.
In the meantime, there might be messages or phone calls between dealer and Ford because something on the order cannot be built this model year because it has "balanced out", or maybe out of stock for several weeks. After dealer and Ford agrees exactly what will be built, then Ford will transmit the DORA.
If a weekend or holiday gets in the way, then one business day might be several calendar days. So patience, Cricket, patience.
As part of your order agreement, you should have demanded that the dealer will provide you a priced copy of the DORA as soon as they get it. Then you should use that copy of the DORA to double-check exactly what Ford is building for you. It's a good thing I double-checked my DORA. My dealerperson "forgot" to order the limited slip rear axle option, but I caught it in time for the dealer to transmit a "change order" transaction to add that option to the original order.
A priced DORA looks just like an invoice except for the one line at the top that says "Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgment". So you must know all the order codes to be able to interpret it accurately.
