Info on X Plan

I am looking at buying a 08/09 F350 4x4 CC 172" DRW lariat truck. How much can I look for the X Plan to take off of the truck from the original sticker price of $57,290.00. I am looking for just an estimate of how much off that would be. I know that they have some good rebates right now to help move the trucks. Just curious because I have not ever heard anybody say. PLease let me know.

I'll refer you to a post I made recently and I think it will answer all of your questions. Questions about x-plan and buying new truck

Click on the following link, then search dealer inventory in a big dealer near your zip code for a truck similar to the one you priced. That is the X-Plan website, so it should show you MSRP as well as X-Plan price. Note you can also see the window sticker for each truck.
Ford Search Inventory - 2009 Ford SuperDuty -

A dealer near me has three identical F-450 Harley Davidson with MSRP of $65,505.00 and X-Plan price of $59,528. Another dealer has an F-350 SRW FX4 with MSRP of $54,005 and X-Plan price of $49,140.

I talked to a dealer yesterday about the $57,000 truck. He said that he could do it for $49,970. This does not include the X Plan but do you think that I could get a better price than that with the X Plan.

The X plan is a purchase price direct from Ford. I have seen Dealers sell for bellow X Plan. I worked for Ford Credit for 2.5 years.

Ford is in the process of changing this website and it no longer shows X-Plan pricing like it used to. I also noticed that the rebates on some models have decreased from before June. Hopefully this is only a temporary situation.

You're right. Ford has ruined another tool that helped us Ford fans shop for a Ford.

But it's no big deal. X-Plan is about ten percent less than MSRP, so that should get you close enough to the cash buying price for you make a decision of whether you want to buy it. The dealer still has to show you the invoice, which includes the X-Plan price, when you get down to nickles and dimes of finalizing the order.

With the stock market creeping up, I was about ready to order a new Flex or Edge. But those darned things still cost more than my car-buying fund in an S&P 500 mutual fund will allow me to pay for a new car. So I'll have to wait for the stock market to creep up some more, or else settle for a less-desireable vehicle. But I should probably wait for the 2010s anyawy.

Ok, Ford must have been testing the new website format and pulled it for "fine tuning." The old format where the X-Plan price is shown is back.

Good. I'm in the process of shopping for a new car right now, and that makes me lean towards Ford.

One thing I noticed is there is almost no markup on a 2010 Fusion Sport. Less than $1,000 between MSRP and X-Plan price.

Smokey,

if the difference is too small just look at a SuperDuty.

If you look for a nice ride why not look at a Tahoe or Enclave if the 'hoe is too big? These would be MY personal targets.
