05/30/08 is the last date of order for the '08 model year. If you wait that late though there are no guarantees that every option or color choice will be available. Infact there is no guarantee the truck will be built if the truck does not schedule before the last day of producion which is 07/03/08.

It's already too late if you want to be guaranteed that every option you might want will be available. So every day you wait, the more options that will be "balanced out", i.e., sold out for this model year.

Way back when I last ordered mine, I waited until early April. The V-10 engine I thought I wanted was already balanced out, so I had to either order the PSD or wait several more months for the next model year.

I know some of the colors have been balanced out but didn't think about options being balanced out.

I guess I can give it a try and see what happens.

I noticed on the build I can get a f350 Lariat DRW 4X4 V10 with the heavy suspension for 12K less than the dealer has on his diesel.

I am a Little scared of the diesel with the cost of upkeep and parts cost now.

Really, just giving it a try is all you can do at this point. The worst that can happen is the order is rejected as you want it optioned or that it just does not get scheduled to be built before the end of '08 production.

Question That does not make

a great deal of sense to me. I know they have limits and such but geez..dont they believe in customer service at all. When they were offereing 0% for 60 months I tried to see if I could order a new truck. NOPE. Well SHAZAM I didnt buy a new truck. To me..that kind of limited offer makes no sense. Do you want to sell trucks and take care of a faithful FORD truck fan. Guess not. Now the dealership keeps calling trying to get me interested. I have decided I am going to buy when I think the deal is right and if it never appears...well my present truck is NOT worn out. and it is PAID FOR. So I guess I will wait for the new model year to see what is out. If Ford wants to play games then I will wait on sidelines. My money is doing just fine where it is at. Might as well use the money I was going to buy the truck with to invest in real estate and wait a couple of years. Does Ford really want to sell trucks or what. There are very few dealerships that want to work for you.

Opinions are like rear ends - everyone has one & you've made it obvious you have an opinion.
