Sorry, forgot the details! I ordered a 2010 F250 Crewcab Long bed 4x4. It's the XLT package with leather. Black exterior with Stone interior. I got the V10 gas engine. I was a long time die-hard diesel guy, but the new ones just weren't what I wanted in a diesel, so I went back to gas. I got it with the 18" wheels (20's only allowed on the diesels!??!) with the snow plow prep package and the camper package. It has the power fold/telescopic mirrors too. I need to get pics of it soon. I'm glad I got the power fold mirrors, otherwise fitting it in my garage would have been harder.

Also learned some stuff about the 2010's. The tire pressure sensors are no longer the ones mounted to the bands around the wheels. Rather they are the valvestem mounted type. And no more special tool in the glovebox for resetting them for tire rotation. There's a different proceedure which includes letting air out of each tire and then refilling.....been reading the owner's manual tonight. Also, someone must have been listening at Ford about tire wear and 80 psi requirements......my truck is listed for 65 psi front and rear.

You mentioned the auto tire pressure sensors. My wife's new Denali, yeah I know I could not get her to go back to a Nav or Flex but whatever, she is happy. Anyway, I had new wheels put on it and saw the sensors you speak of. The attach to the inside of the valve stem. I thought it resembled a tire weight. The folks at Big O were able to get the sensors in place with new wheels without having to order new sensors as the fit was a concern along with taking them off. They are somewhat fragile.

well.. you have had a few days.. what else have you learned and just how much fun are you having.

The 2010.. you likey?? Youy have been quiet so it must be all good in your hood. I just got the word.. maybe the 19th. Offricial word was a week to 10 days and that was a few days back.

Then the extra goodies ordered so I could be looking at an additional 3 to 5 days maybe.

Things are good. I haven't driven it much yet. I only have 70 miles on 'er!
I'm not driving it much until my DuraFlap mudflaps arrive next week (it's a black truck and I'm really really picky) Only gripe I have is one small dent that I noticed after I got it home. Only drove it from the dealer to my house and parked it in my garage. I have my bay completely walled off from the other bays with a locking side entrance door between the bays. So nothing dented it here, it was there when I picked it up. Small dent on the left lower portion of the truck bed in front of the left rear tire. Dealer on Monday is having his paintless dent guy fix it (no cost). You can't see it straight on or even feel it, but if you sight down the truck (while knealing down) it catches my eye. Like I said....I'm picky....others have another word for it! LOL!
I hope to be making a road trip with it soon. Will post more then.
Oh yeah, my father-in-law brought home a 2008 KingRanch Diesel today. Nice!

Thanks,
Jerry

Sounds great
What special devices, gadgets, playtoys and parts did you order with your truck?
On the paying attention to detail...hey I am the same way. I will call it somewhat anal (me) ...I want things a certain way and by damn skippy if I am paying a big dollar for it.. that is the way it will be. I will also comb my rig on dealership lot.. good advice.
Like I told my wife.. it is like power you never have to wield. it is there and when you want it, you unleash it.. and nobody can deny you.

F-I-L comes home with an 08 F-450, you slide in with a new 10.. the dealership likes you. Hopefully anything gets hinky you are dialed with that kind of represent-n I am happy for you. Keep the posts coming .

It is a confidant feeling.

Actually the Father-in-Laws KingRanch is a 250, and he bought it at a different dealer. What's funny is I got my new truck, he got his almost-new truck and his son just bought a 2008 Chevy (same day as his King Ranch purchase) It's like people getting married....seems like once one does it....everyone is doing it!

Even so... that KR is awesome in any flavor. I have always wanted one .. well since I first saw them.. so i started saving all my boxtops. I did add to it. I believe the only thing that will not be on it is Nav which here in Ca it can't happen , even on the 2011.

I think that buying will catch wildfire here also. I have been chatting with a few pards who are waiting to see the new truck with all its splendor and are shifting funds to possibly make their own purchase.. we will see. This is the first time, I don't think I will see somebody try and "keep up with the Jones" I have nobody to compar to. Nobody that I need to impress just myself with this beast. I am in it for me.. and what I pull. I want to toad my jeep behind the 5er and this will get it done.
It is a chunk to drop but I retire at year's end and have planned this for over a year, so I may be more ready than they are.

Interesting observation. Oh, why did son go GM? Not that their rigs are bad.. but it does make one wonder why not keep the blue oval in the family?

My wife's family doesn't really have a brand loyalty. His son bought an SUV for his wife. Not a truck. Though he does have a 97 F250 crewcab shortbed. Nice rig as well! I don't think anyone was trying to keep up with the Jones though, LOL! It was just odd timing that we all got the bug to buy again I think.

That is pretty cool.. well its buying time in the Miller household today. and by the way.. pops and bro.. get one too!

My buddy just called me. He askes about the 450. He has a 550 ... a real nice 550 which is a 6.0L and leaking at the head gasket and the one side of the oil pan. They aren't working with him, he is getting pissed and is looking at trading away for a 450.

Then his brother will trade away.. their twins.. have to have all the same stuff, still.. and his best friend ( not his bro) will more than likely fall into it. and these guys are not the guys I was talking about in the earlier post! These are different guys! I didn't expect to get this phone call about a new truck. I order the fuel supplement for about 30 guys and I thought he was calling for that reason. They have a 500 gallon tank and he buys like 3 cases at a pop. So I was pleasantly pleased with the call. Anyway.. that wildfire thing here in ca is probably due to Santana conditions.

When you get a chance, take a few pics. would love to see the new ride.
