New Truck on Order!!

Well its been 12 years since my last truck, I bit the bullet last week and Ordered a 2009 F-450 King Ranch Crew cab, 6.4 deisel, 4X4, dually, 8' bed, for the most part everything but the moonroof. Im not pleased to hear what some of you are getting for fuel mileage, due to these new emmission regs, but the '97 F-350 Crew cab, Powerstroke, 5-speed manual, 4X4 has done its duty and showing her wear and tear. She has done everyting I have asked and then some, pulled everything too!!

Recieved confirmation on the new one its build date is March 9th, delivery 3rd or 4th week of March. I wish we could go see our truck being built, but dealer said they didnt think Ford has allowed it since 9-11. Oh well would have been cool to see it on the line.

Congrats! You are going to love the truck! It's so damn comfortable inside these new ones!

Yep. 9/11 changed the world.

It's been about 10 years now, but "Bob in Dallas" Stevens was able to arrange going to watch his truck being assembled. Read all about it in this link: The Birth of Tyrannosaurus Red

Also before 9/11, regular tours of the assembly plant were conducted by retired Ford employees who were proud of their acccomplishments at the Kentucky Truck Plant (KTP). A bunch of the members of this website took the tour on Memorial Day weekend, 2001.

Congrats on the new truck... Looks like yours and mine will be sharing the same build run as the dates you stated are the same I got for my 450 Lariat...
