Went to look at a 09 F350 HD CC/SB, as i was reviewing the sticker, it showed the Harley package but at the bottom of the options it stated "Optional Equipment $18,900". The type was Ford factory, not added by the dealer.
What is optional equipment if everything extra was listed?
Had this same question when I bought my 08. It ends up being that they cant fit ever extra thing on the sticker and have to add in that little 'optional equipment' line item. Find the actual sticker off the Ford website and you will see that there are more items listed on the Ford website sticker than the actual truck window sticker. Hope this helps!

I believe it is a total of all the options that are on the truck--in shopping for my 450 this came up, and none of the Ford salesmen could tell me what it meant. It isn't double-added. The dealer invoice will show everything on the truck as an option.

It's the total of the optional equipment, including the optional King Ranch pkg. Add the base price, optional equipment, and freight charge and you'll get the MSRP.
I suspect doranmj was referring to the line for "other" optional equipment that is on some stickers. That line is usually for something new that has not yet been programmed into the sticker-printing program. The dealer can tell you exactly what it is based on the invoiced options. One time I saw one that was for body side moldings.

My Sierra Blanca in the sig pic was a great pickup for 11.5 years. I sold it last year. Replacement is a 2012 F-150 EcoBoost SuperCrew Lariat.
The same thing happened on my truck. There was no more room on the sticker to print anything else so the options that weren't listed were lumped together on one line that said "Optional equipment." When I ordered it I sat there as the salesman (a great guy) punched the order into Ford's old computer system. It looked like a DOS based system as opposed to an HTML interface.
The printout for the confirmation was two pages long. He said that was the first time he'd ordered a truck that took more than one page to print. I guess I ordered a lot of options! But I got my truck - my way...
