Options that you should have ordered or should not of ordered ?
I am getting ready to order a fully loaded 08 f-350 CC LWB . Just looking for some opinions from owners that wished they did or wasted there money on options? TIA
My ultra-biased .02: Camera=awesome. Rear steps=useful. Bed extender=really useful and convenient. Rear sensor=questionable, annoying with a trailer. Power pedals=useless and never used once. Audiophile=sounds great. Leather/Lariat=wouldn't want to own one without it. Tow command/powerscope=you want this if you tow!!! 20" rims=nice looking but I should have saved it for larger tires and a lift kit down the road. Homelink=bargain, why stare at a gate/door opener on the visor? Upfitter switches=never used once (yet). 4x4=would already have gotten stuck in this front-heavy beast without it. Sliding rear window=convenient to yell at caged dogs (or wife) in bed. I wished I'd gone with a 350 long bed though...next time!
Hope this helps, and good luck with your new truck!

Navigation system is wonderful, but way overpriced at over $2,000. Instead get a portable model from Garmin in the $500 to $600 price range. The factory jobbie in my 2005 Honda went out after the warranty expired and it's going to cost over $2000 to fix it.
Built-in DVD movie player for the back seat passengers is wonderful if you haul kids or grandkids on long trips. But, again, you may be able to accomplish the same goal with a much-less-expensive aftermarket portable DVD player - just be sure it has headphones only and no speakers.
If you hate leather seats and go with XLT trim to get those wonderful cloth seats, be sure to add some of the things that are standard on Lariat trim - privacy glass and cab steps, for example.
One guy above said he never used his upfitter switches. But they are especially useful for hooking up your SEIC (idle controller). The logic for the SEIC is built into the computer (PCM), but the switches and wiring to hook it up are not included. Thus Upfitter Switches to the rescue! You should never allow the engine to idle at low RPM for more than a couple of minutes. For extended idle times, use the SEIC to elevate the idle RPM to 1,200 or so. In your neck of the woods, you'll probably need to let the AC run sometimes when the truck is not moving - maybe in the parking lot while Darling Wife does some shopping? The AC doesn't work very good at low idle RPM, so kick up the idle with the SEIC and stay cool.

Thanks for the responces. I went to the dealer and placed the order for my new truck last night. Only problem will be the 6-8wks to get her Oh well
Believe me...that will be the longest 6-8 wekks of your life!!
So, what did you decide on for your order?
I couldn't agree more with the first to replies. I ordered every option except the sun roof, adjustable pedals, and the nav system. A $1000 for the sun roof is crazy and we seldom open the one in the wife's Navigator. The Nav system is way over priced at $2500. My son got the Pioneer in dash unit installed at Best Buy for $1000
The upfitter switches are great, the reverse sensor is helpful, the back-up camera is too cool, and the Audiophile is fantastic!!
I ordered a White / Stone F-350 4x4 Lariat CC LWB with every option except for the rear dvd, dual alt,pto and bed extender. I had the dealer at the same time add a 8" fabtech coil over lift with the four link system and traction bars, dual steering damper.
Then i decided to do tires and wheels( Weld Dominator Cheyenne 8's with BFG all terrain's ) and a power step and the list goes on. They did a great package deal with full factory warranty on all the aftermarket components which sealed the deal for me. Only problem is i will have a Bunch of stock parts that i will sell after i take delivery.
If you ordered the 20" factory wheels, I know somebody that would take them off your hands..........
Since i was going with the Welds, it's comming with the 18's

Can power seats be added in later?.. I am considering purchasing an F250XLT without power seats. I can get a great deal and am wondering if I can add the power seats later?
