Snow Plow pkg - Unique Fan Clutch...Cons?

Thinking this fan might be useful with a permanent winch/bumper on. Especially slow summer driving.

Any cons...noise? wear?

Thanks!

In the 1200 miles of use, all I've noticed is noise, and it's minimal. On a 30 degree morning, the fan kicks on shortly after start up, and will stay on till about 1500 rpm. You hear the hum of the air being sucked through but it's not overwhelming. Whatever the fan costs to operate in fuel mileage, it's repaid in piece of mind. Certainly perfect for slow speed four wheeling or as you said, a winch bumper. When ordering the snow plow kit, you are also given the 6000 pound front springs and a 200 amp alternator, a win win situation I think!

I ordered the snow plow kit on my 2008 and I think it is the best $85 I ever spent. No matter where you are located, the snow plow kit is worth it for what you get.

Pappy19,

$85 is a great price. Snow Pow Prep is $285 in the "Great White North".....go figure!

Anyway I'm convinced.

Thanks

he fan constantly pulsates on-off-on-off.
I don't have a problem with it because it will definitely keep the hot air under the hood moving.
