Initial run was full of issues and actually had a bunch of trucks delayed due problems and bed replacements. They stopped offering it for a while as they worked it out. Haven't heard how the new run is holding up. I didn't risk it and went with the rhino instead. Only $100 more and a sure thing.

Get line X-xtra, holds up great whatever the weather or loads you subject it to. $700 fitted for over the rails, so it'll be cheaper on the 09 Super duties as they have rail caps
Thanks for the replies. Anybody else have any experiences with the factory option? I currently have the Rhino lining on my F150 and have been happy with it.
Hello
I have the Super Spray bedliner. Will not fade or crack. Floyds auto in Robertsdale Al. was the installer.

Have no experience with the factoy option but the rhino lining is no match for line x. Line X is a much better product.
Baloney. Not better, just different. My Rhino spray-in bedliner is almost 10 years old and still looks good and still does the job. Line-X is a harder, slicker finish which some like, but that doesn't make it "better". If the Ford factory option is as good as a Rhino, then it's good stuff.

My Sierra Blanca in the sig pic was a great pickup for 11.5 years. I sold it last year. Replacement is a 2012 F-150 EcoBoost SuperCrew Lariat.
In 2007, at the KY State Fair I talked to a rep from the KTP. He told me that the liner was going to be LINE X. They may have changed it but that was the original plan. Maybe Line X with a different name.

Tough Bed is a great product that is very comparable to Line-X or Rhino. The only downside is the warranty. Tough Bed is only covered under the 3 year / 36,000 bumper warranty vs Line-X and Rhino which have lifetime.
As for Line-X and/or Rhino having any involvement in product development with Ford, I have no difinitive answer to that. The only thing I know is Ford has been working with Rhino and its dealers to train them for larger repairs and the future possibility of aftermarket installation of Tough Bed.

I have one on my 09, but I have not had a chance to really put it to the test yet...however, camping season is just around the corner! So far, it has been under a truxedo cover and not exposed to the outside elements. It does seem a bit slicker than the Rhino's I have had in my past two superduties but I do like the overall look. Like I said, once camping season arrives and I start loading rubbermaid containers, grills, firewood, dutch ovens, etc., I will see how it holds up. It would be interesting to note how the liner will be covered under warranty for repairs that might be needed.
