Tracking my new pickup - Diesel Forum

I just purchased an 09' F-350 King Ranch from our local dealer. The pickup is in transit somewhere and the dealer claims there is no way to have any idea where it is except that it should be in "during the week of June 29 - July 3".

It would seem like they would be able to know much more precisely when this vehicle will arrive.

I have the VIN number, is there a way I can track it from that?

Not really. Ask your dealer to get the railcar number. You then may track this by calling the RR. There are no public RR tracking services anymore.

For comparison: Mine was traveling around Chicago for a week before heading west to Portland which also took a week and then a few days to the dealer.
