i dont know if i am going to tick anyone off with this statement, but i can see the advantage of having an idle limit on diesels.

a freaking ambulance crew decided to park at the front door (exhaust blowing into the door) of a restaurant and sat there idling for 45 minutes (and that is while I was there so who knows how long they actually sat there)....

now if people just exercised common sense, then half the crap that is "mandated" would not be necessary.....

ok i'm done...lol.

We just bought an 09 350 CC PSD long bed, FX4 luxury package, leather, tow package, bed liner and tailgate step, block heater, sync, upfitters (2 weeks ago). MSRP was just over 54k. X plan took off just about 10% (kicked it down into the 49k's) Here in Vegas with the 09s you could also add the incentives OR try to get the 1.9% financing from Ford. We did the numbers with a few different rates from my bank and credit union and the 1.9 made all the difference. I told the salesman if we didnt get 1.9 I would not do the deal. We have bought and paid off 3 Ford vehicles all financed with Ford credit so it was not a problem. We were going to wait a little longer to see if Ford would blink and go 0% or allow the incentives WITH 1.9% financing but the inventory in Vegas was shrinking fast on the 09s. This truck as trimmed was actually our 3rd choice based on the Ford dealer inventory website listings. The only thing that made this the 3rd choice was no nav and a long bed. Most of the ones left over that I saw were white.
The nice thing about the x plan is the doc fee is set and its no haggling which I hate.

after every little paragraph here, I say thank you X plan. It helped tremendously!

Aren't these X plans awesome! No muss, no fuss, no haggling, no hassles. 10% is nothing to sneeze at. I choose the 3500 off as oposed to the lower interest rate. Just 4 hours ago I was financed by my credit union which is rare and then my insurance agent gave me the green light on the new truck which mine is only the 2nd 450 she has insured. The first one was a bit of a concern but after it was done, mine was blessed the minute I mentioned 450. Today was a good day.. I didn't have to pull my AK!

Anyway, I plan on paying mine off sooner so the more off immediately made more sense. I talked this over with my salesman Bobby W. He sells so many of these he knows 10 ways to Sunday to finance. He gave me a great option I liked and for me, this will be a perfect fit.

I am about 67K right now but that includes a 100K full maintenance plan. They start the minute you drive it off the lot but after going over the digits, 20 oil changes, brake jobs, all fluid flushes, both pumpkins maintained.. it is a bunch of stuff for about $2800.00. The price for these has dropped as F wanted to create another good reason to buy a F super duty.

With an oil change alone.. for the 450 is about 130.00 Start adding up other expenses like at least one brake job, air, oil, dpf filter if needed... well you can see that there is a savings. I will look at the extended warranty a little later well before the 36 month runs dry.

good luck and post some pics
