Can anyone look up the X-Plan price of this vehicle & tell me what they find?
1FTPW14V38FA70769
You can do that yourself. Call the dealership, tell them you want X-Plan pricing on a specific truck (VIN provided) and tell them you want a copy of the invoice showing the X-Plan price. They'll be happy to show you.
Don't want to deal with that dealership? Call another one and tell them you want to work with them after you find out the price from the dealership that has the truck.
3. Put in the zip code of the dealer that has that vehicle in stock
4. Search that dealer's inventory until you find that truck.
The net price after X-Plan and rebates will show up. Then you can click on "window sticker" and see the MSRP and VIN as well as double check to see that it is exactly the one you want.
When I posted this on Saturday afternoon, I continually got the "please try again later" screen. I hope that just means that lots of folks are accessing the Ford X-Plan website right now.

Yep, the link worked fine tonight (Wednesday, 9:50 p.m. CDT). So it was apparently just a busy day at the website.
It's "sticker shock" to see an F-250 with a sticker of $59,695. And an X-Plan price of almost $54,000. That's a decent annual family income for lots of hard-working families.

I have a question about the Ford X-plan. How does the process work as far as the pin number usage? Do I give that pin to my Ford dealer? I am not 100% clear on this and also the fact that do you have to know the person who gave you the pin number real well since it's a "friends and family" kind of perk? I guess I have cold feet...

My dealer didn't care how I got the PIN; they just wanted it before I signed any paperwork. Didn't matter for me because the company I work for has a legitimate business relationship with Ford, and I can produce any necessary documentation to prove it. But I don't think it'll matter for you either. :-)
Below are Fords rules of Eligibility taken from Ford's website: 2. PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS AND ELIGIBILITY
X-Plan
Partner Recognition:
An eligible Partner Recognition employee or retiree may generate up to two (2) PINs per calendar year to be used towards the purchase/lease of a new vehicle for them or members of their households as noted below (see PIN Generation for details):

Employees (full time, part-time and contract), retirees and spouses of eligible Partner companies (suppliers, fleets, etc.) and members of specific organizations or groups.
Residents of the same household as listed above(driver’s license required for proof of residency).
Participation is by invitation only as determined by Ford Motor Company. Not all suppliers, fleets, etc. are eligible.
3. PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY

For employees of eligible partner companies, you must provide a recent pay stub, company I.D., W-2 or company healthcare card. All are acceptable items to verify employment. (Note: business cards will not be accepted as proof of employment). The dealership must list the company or organization's name on the AXZD-Plan Pricing Agreement.
For residents in the same household as the eligible employee/retiree, driver’s licenses’ will be required for proof of residence.
For members of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) only, membership cards must be used for proof of membership and should indicate 30-day minimum membership.
For members of the Disabled American Veterans Association only, membership cards must be used for proof of membership.
For members of the Society of Hispanic MBAs only, membership cards must be used for proof of membership.
How does the process work as far as the pin number usage? Do I give that pin to my Ford dealer?
Yes.
First, get the PIN, before you talk prices with a Ford dealerperson.
When you first arrive at the dealership, do not talk to anyone except a manager - preferably the fleet manager. Ask that manager if he will sell you a (describe vehicle) on the X-Plan. If he says yes, then all your negotiating is done as far as the price of the new vehicle is concerned. (You still have to negotiate how much they will allow you for any trade in.)
When you do the paperwork to buy the vehicle, the paperwork processor will ask for your PIN. That's when you give it to them.
If you order a vehicle, they may want to be sure you have a PIN so they can order under the X-Plan, but they won't actually use it until you take delivery of the new vehicle a few weeks later. So you would give it to them at the time of "closing", or delivery.

No, "family" is the A-Plan. The X-Plan is called "friends and neighbors". So you can be a neighbor without actually knowing the neighbor. The main thing the Ford employee will want to know is how soon you will use the PIN. They have only a few to give out, so they don't want to give you one that you might use next summer or next fall or maybe change your mind and buy a Dodge.
Ford gives the employee a little something for every X-Plan PIN that's actually used, so the employee wants to be sure you will use it. Most will understand if you want to use it to order a new vehicle so the PIN won't be processed for several weeks. But they don't want you to put it in your hip pocket for "just in case".
Thanks everyone. I am in receipt now of a pin and it expires in about 18 days or so....

Then when you get your new truck, drive it out to see Sis, and while you're there drive another 20 miles out into the county and show it off to me too.
BTW, diesel was $1.999 a few days ago in Midland. So I may have to break out the 5er and hit the road again.
Hello All,
I am posting an update. I found out only direct Ford employees or retirees can give pins to friends. Employees of Ford "partner" companies cannot, they can only give to family members who have to prove it, and that was the pin I had.
So if anyone can help me get a pin from a direct Ford employee I would be so grateful. I also posted a request at the Blue Oval forum...
Anyone can get an X-PLAN, thru shareholder relations.
Simply purchase several 100 shares (200 is what I have) of Ford stock (sell the same day if you choose.
Take the purchase statement from SCHWAB (in my case), fill out the form, and send it in....
This is not a big item, as I said anyone can get one....
See next post for form
