Just to make sure I didn't miss anything I read and then re-read Smokey Wren's sticky threads above in regards to the X-Plan.
Question 1 My father-in-law works for one of the companies listed on the Ford Partners list. His research at his job tells him that he can't sponsor me because we don't live at the same street address verified by our driver's licenses (he lives in PA, I live in MD) Is this true, I thought he could sponsor me based on the X-Plan description on this site.
Question 2 Does an F-450 pickup qualify for the X-plan. Again, my father-in-law did some research at work and what he found says the F-450 pickup apparently does not qualify for the plan. Is this true, does anyone know from experience?
Any and all help on these questions would be appreciated, since I am ready to order a new truck. My qualifications for the X-plan would be very helpful.

The "X-Plan description on this site" says:
"The Partner Recognition X-Plan Pricing Program is offered by Ford Motor Company to active employees or organization members, retirees, their spouses and members of their households of selected US and Canadian Tier 1 suppliers, ...."
That's pretty clear to me. "Members of their household" means the employee's daughter and her hubby would have to be living at home with Mom and Dad. Else they are family members but not members of the employee's household.
However, all is not lost. You probably don't qualify for an X-Plan PIN under the Ford Partners plan, but you probably do qualify under the Friends and Neighbors plan. So find a Ford employee or retiree and make a new friend.
The X-Plan PIN is worth about $500 to the dealer. So even without a PIN, you should be able to negotiate a price not more than $500 over X-Plan price. When looking at a $60,000+ vehicle, $500 is not much = less than one percent. However, the biggest advantage of using the X-Plan PIN is absolutely no negotiation is required to get the good deal - unless you have a trade-in.

I don't know, but I'll bet it does. The F-450 chassis cabs definitely do not qualify because they are a "commercial vehicle", even if outfitted as an RV towing machine. But I suspect the F-450 pickup does qualify. If Bobby Williams or some other dealerperson doesn't reply to this thread, then your best bet is to drop in to your local Ford dealer, find the truck sales manager or fleet manager, and ask. The sticky post notes: "See your local dealer for vehicle eligibility."

Smokey, thanks for the clarification. It seems no matter how hard I concentrated on the description, I guess I got bogged down by the volume of information and couldn't quite focus on the specifics.
As it turns out when I spoke to my salesman this morning, he "built" the truck on his computer and was able to quote the truck to me for about $500 less than the X-Plan. So yeah I guess the truck does qualify for X-Plan, but with that price I won't be needing the PIN number.
I have an X plan. I got the x plan by owning shares of F. All you have to own is 1 share to qualify. You do have to prove it by submitting a statement from the platform you own the shares from.
As far as the F450 goes, I am ordering my truck through Bobby , he knows I have the plan and I have not been told I cannot get an X plan for the 450.

I have never heard that. A shareholder of
ford stock gets an Xplan pin#. I own a block of ford stock what is the process to get the pin#? Does a pin work for only one truck at a time or can you go in and buy 3 on one pin#?

Cochise sent me a note saying the X-Plan has changed and fleet customers can now use X-Plan. And the F-450 pickup is definitely eligible for X-Plan.
He also said he'll be more than happy to sell new F-450s all day long for X-Plan price, even if you don't have a PIN. So maybe look up Lone Star Ford in Houston and ask for the fleet manager, Cochise Willis. Order all three vehicles from him and don't worry about the X-Plan PINs. If you don't live near Houston, he can order you a truck and have the new truck delivered by drop ship to your local Ford dealer. Your local dealer will probably charge a coupla hundred bucks for each vehicle for that "courtesy delivery", but that may be cheaper than your driving to Houston. Think of that charge as paperwork and dealer prep.
Large statewide, regional, and even national fleets often order a bunch of vehicles from one dealer to be delivered via drop ship to local dealers scattered all over the country. So that's routine stuff for an experienced fleet manager like Cochise.
Cochise was a sponsor of TheDieselStop for several years. He's sold hundreds of Fords to members of TheDieselStop. He'll tell you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, even if it costs him a sale. My kinda guy.

Doesn't he make more if given an xplan pin? Wouldn't that allow him to price under xplan?
