2010 F350 V-10 pics

Finally here friends and fellow Gassers!
Picked er' up yesterday with new Bradford Built flatbed installed.
Talk about black....Black clearcoat & Ebony (Black) interior to boot!
We aptly named her "The Black Beauty" lot's of chrome too....
Wasn't sure if I'd like all the Black, but it's really growing on me.

So far so good, pretty happy with the ride and power and decent mpg
on the way "up the hill" from Denver to 9K feet here in the High Country of
Silverthorne, Colorado.
Averaged 11 mpg with the stock long box on top of the flatbed. Yeah not much of a "load" up I thought it was going to be a lot worse.

We'll see how she runs as I get it broken in! Wish me luck.
Notice the old 2008 6.4 in the backround, that nightmare goes to the dealer as trade in next week....nuff said.

I'm a happy Ford Owner again!
Nice Christmas gift to myself huh?
Happy Holidays friends & Cheers from the Colorado Rockies
Leo

Bradford Built flatbed was close to $3K installed bduddy.
The lower tool boxes were like $250 a piece.
This is my second Bradford flatbed, they are pretty nice.
The side rails drop down as well, they are on greasable hinges so that you can
utilize the stake bed pockets hidden beneath.

I'm told that Bradford has improved their painting procedure, so hopefully it'll
last better paint wise, that was my only knock against my last one.
The mag chloride used up here in the Winter is hard on paint and wiring.
The new paint is powder coated, so I'm hoping for the best?

Nice looking rig zane. I really like the bed. Glad you got rid of that 6.4 POS.

I'm new here but been reading off an on for a while now. I too switched from a diesel (Dmax) to the V10 2 years ago. I think you are going to like the V10 overall.

Mileage will be slightly less than the PS empty and maybe more so towing. My V10 with 4.30s makes 11-13 empty and 5-7.5 with a 14k, high profile toy hauler.

Will it keep up with a modern diesel on the hills at higher elevations? Nope. Bucking a 35 mph head wind? Nope.
Passing? Nope.
Am I unhappy or ready to go back to a smoker? Nope.

If you do want a little more grunt and all round better driveability get a tune from Mike at 5Star tuning.

Most importantly, enjoy that new rig.

Filler Neck into the Flatbed appears to look pretty stock to me?
I'll have to take some pic's and post em' The tool box below is in the way though, so it blocks on how it was installed.
I had the bed installed, so I can't say for sure?

Will get back to you though on this.
Thanks, take care.

The Bed is pretty awesome Front Runner, it's my second Bradford Built.
The side rails drop down and have hinges you can grease. They also have tow rings
imbedded in the rails that flip out. They are great for hauling small square bales. You can put the big straps "J" hooks in them with no problem. It's pretty slick.

The paint was pretty crappy on my first one but the company since has corrected that issue and is now powder coating them inside their shop.

They are pretty stout too, I had a friend back into me last year when I had my 2008 6.4 he hit me pretty hard on the rear end and did no damage what so ever to my bed, but lots of damage to his rig.....felt badly for him but happy about no damage to mine.

Also, Insurance is WAY cheaper with a flatbed - worth looking into!
Your 6.4 looks a lot like mine, do you have the chrome package as well?

Take care, cheers friends~
Leo

Hey Powerstroke, Here's a pic of the filler cap, as installed.
I'll see about getting beneath the box and take another pic tomorrow
of how the pipe was attached to the truck body?
Does this help any?

Cheers,
Leo
