5.4/torqueshift towing ?

Just curious when you engage tow/haul with this combo does it cancel out over drive aswell as delaying shifts? I just don't picture the 5.4 being able to pull overdrive gear with much of a load like my 6.0 does.I was thinking of a new truck and since I don't pile the miles on like I use to I might consider a gasser.I know a V-10 would be the way to go but in my neck of the woods all you see is 5.4 gas or diesels! Back in the old days you would just lock out O/D and tow your load. Now you don't seem to have that option. It would drive me crazy to have a truck hunt back and fourth between gears. If it wasn't for commercial plowing I would probably just buy a 1/2 ton because most of the time my towing weight does not exceed 4,000lbs.

No, tow/haul does not cancel overdrive, and no, the trans won't hunt in and out of overdrive. The computer is smart enough to not let that happen.
