High Flow Cats??

I already have replaced the stock muffler with a Flowmaster Super 44 on my 2008 f250 with the 5.4 l. Its pretty loud already but i want it louder! How much louder would the high flow cats make it and where is a good place to buy them?

I also saw on Horsepower TV that there is no such thing as high flow cats. I have done what you have done to my truck plus a K&N air filter and no more HP. Makes you wonder why a Lightning or a GT 40 has sort of the same engine except internals and the truck engines rev so slow and sound crappy. I have read a programmer helps, but after $500 and no results, I'll spend my money on something else. If you have 20" rims, save your money for tires, they ain't cheap.

I know that Transfer Flow does make a 45 gallon replacement tank for gas models. It took them 2 years to get one passed by the feds. That's probably why they only have one 30 gallon approved. I really like the looks of the Titan replacement tanks but they only make them for diesel rigs. Apparently the emissions thing for gassers is much different than it is for diesels and unless they get alot of requests, they won't take the time or effort to go through the process of getting a particular tank design approved.

Um are you sure you post in the right thread?

But to the op I don't think there is a so call high flow cat for your truck yet. But get a SCT Programmar and it will wake your truck up.

If you have a 5.4 then I would recommend the Superchip as my wife's Lincoln LT has it and it works great. If you have the 6.8 V-10, then I would use the Diablo Sport Predator programmer and put it on the "middle" 91 octane setting. At least that what has worked well for me.
