I want a bigger tailpipe!

Okay, I love my new 2010 V10. I've had it a week. The little tailpipe is killing me.....I know, I'm crazy, but my last two trucks were diesels. I had 4" tailpipes or 5" stacks, depending on what I felt like running that week.
Anyway, all the aftermarket is 3" except banks which is 3.5 and over priced. Anyone know if a 4" aftermarket tailpipe from an 07 or older diesel will fit? I'm wondering about hanger locations and also pipe location (inlet of muffler or even outlet if I keep the stock muffler) Also, I noticed a resonator in the tailpipe shortly after it goes over the rear axle. Anyone delete this? I'd like to get a little more sound from the exhaust but nothing annoying. I swore up and down this truck would stay stock............oops.

Hey Jerry I have an 08 f 250 with the v8 and got me a 4'' tip to go on my truck and looks much better. It made a little difference in the sound as well.

I just went with a 3" chrome pipe extension from Ford. I bought it off of ebay for around $35. All of the tests that I have seen on after market exhaust setups on V-10's, show no advantage in mileage or power, so I have left mine alone including the resonator.

Pappy,
I just can't stand the "little" 3" pipe. I'm used to 4". I know it's a small thing to worry about, but I think I'm going to find a nice 3 to 4" stainless tip and then cut the stock pipe back to install the tip. I was planning to dechrome this truck and have it be all black....wheels, bumpers, steps, and the tailpipe tip, but the more I look at the truck, I think the chrome is staying so I'll get a stainless tip. I also ordered up some DuraFlap mudflaps yesterday. All rubber no stainless. I got the normal 12" wide by 14" rears, but the normal front ones would only hang down 9" inches so I custom ordered the fronts to be 12" long so they should hang down about 6-7" from the ground front and rear.

I went with a slant and rolled Flowmaster stainless tip. I got the 3.5" I wish I would have gone 4" but it looks better than stock.
