Just bought a 08 F250 5.4

I just bought an 08 F250 4x4 Lariet Crew Cab with 5.4 auto with 3.73 rearend and hope I don't regret it. I only tow maybe 2 times a month but I ride 150 miles a day empty. I thought about the diesel but I got all the bells and whistles except rear dvd cheaper than a xlt with 6.4 with no goodies. I have 4 -6.0 diesels and 8- 7.3 and a couple of 5.4 super dutys. I have never had a problem with the 5.4 but you don't want to get me started on the 6.0 engines. With the extra hp I hope I made the right decision. I will let you know more when I get the truck. The dealer has to transfer it tomorrow.

congrats on the new truck.... I have had mine for a couple of months now and it Is been great so far. I miss the diesel a little but I bailed out just before diesel went thru the roof so I kinda feel good about the deal I got. It definitely seems to work harder than my old truck but I really didn't need all the power and payload my 350 offered.I will trade up in a couple more years if I can afford it . I think you will be happy they have done a nice job with the 08's

One of the fellows that works with me has an F-250 with the 5.4 and the 3.73 rear. It now has 112k on the odometer and he has towed his fair share of RV's, etc. It runs great and his mileage is about 2 mpg better than my V-10 with a 4.10 rear. You will be very happy with your choice, I'm sure. Congratulations and keep in touch.
