longer service intervals

Folks,

have a 05 PSD with 10k oil change which is acceptable. Same with my 07 gas Suburban. This is fine even if the European manufactures are @ 20k for both diesel and gas.

I wonder what will be the interval (oil and service) for the 09 gassers, especially the V10. As they get the auotmated system could it also be 10k?

The same thing happened with the Suburban. I do 80 % highway, however.

the 08 gasser puts the OIC at 7500 miles unless you frequently tow, stop and go, extended idle, dusty conditions etc. if you do any of these things it's 5000 miles.

Most oil change places including my dealer recomends 3000 miles so they probably use crappy oil. (my dealer use Valvoline not Motorcraft)
