Interesting article. Sorta like when the last of the 7.3's were put into the 2003 model and they were snapped up pretty fast. Good thing as we all know what happened with the 6 leaker. I'd bet that the "new" V-8 will have lots of growing pains and my V-10 will be the engine of choice. So, better get one while you can. For a 10 year old engine, it's still a great runner and reliable as well.

WOW did you look close at how far the power plant is tucked under the cab? Wonder how long a spark plug change will take?

Probably be another reason to lift the cab to do any work on the engine just like what is necessary on the 6.4 diesel. At least with my V-10, everything seems to be accessable without lifting the cab. What a pain that would be.

I love it - "This COULD replace the 6.8".

I wonder, if it's a replacement for the 5.4 and the V10 will still be around.

IT is supposed to be the 5.4 replacement. The 7.0 boss is/was slated to replace the V10. The 6.2 does not have enough torque to replace the V10.
