Hi ! I am new to this Forum business. But I am having problems with my 2005 6.0 Diesel F 350 4x4 King Ranch. I have just spent $ 4500 on having a lot of work done by a reputable Mechanic to fix a no compression issue with # 1 cylinder, the first garage I took it to charged me $1100 to replace #1 fuel injector , both fuel filters and I don't know what else. Needless to say I still had the same problem . a bad miss and low compression in # 1 cylinder.
Well the truck started just fine when I picked it up from the shop, and it ran fine the 35 miles to my house, but the next morning the starter would not engage to crank the engine.
The mechanic that did the work, claimed that he and his staff had issues with the alarm because I did not leave them a remote switch to lock and unlock the truck.
Well now the alarm does not come on but the ignition is disabled and I can not start the truck my remote was in the glove box but the battery was bad.
I have since put a new Battery in the remote , but I can't program it to work witth the instructions in the owners manual.
Is there anybody out there that has had this problem ?
