Hello...and help

Hello all,
First day on the forum and I must say...Impressive site!!!
Currently I'm beating around in a 97 F-150 but I am in the market for
a 2000-2003 F-250.
I mostly use the truck for fall/winter activities...hunting, cutting wood
and household chores.

I'm 40 years old and I am on my 5th vehicle in 23 years...so I keep'm for a while...and I hate making payments.

The F150 is rusting out so I'm looking at getting a F-250 with a diesel.
What is to many miles, and which deisel motor will best my best choice
in taking me another 10 or so years...
I prolly put less than 6000 miles a year on my truck...is a diesel my best option? Should I opt for gas?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I am new to the site and to the diesel world.
