Hello from San Angelo, TX

Hi,

I just traded my 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 CTD for a 2004 F350 with the King Ranch interior and Herrin Hauler package. So far I love the truck. It doesn't feel as ballsy as the CTD, and hopefully my 6.0 will give me years of good service....I am a bit leary of it, though; I keep hearing that the motor will blow up on me....it happened to this truck 31,000 miles ago, and the original owner had the motor replaced under warranty. I have a 3yr/45,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

Welcome to TheDieselStop, Strokin'.

You hear all sorts of unfounded rumors on the internet. There have been a few folks with problem 6.0L engines, but most just keep on rattlin' down the road, and Ford took care of most of the rest. Good luck with yours.

I lived in 'Angelo for two years way back when - stationed at Goodfellow in 1965-'66. And these days I regularly pass thru there on the way to Austin. So I have an idea about where you live.
