I just found this site while looking for some info re: our 1995 F-250 Power Stroke. My b/f and I use this beast to pull a car trailer (we both drag race). We just had a brutal winter here and the truck needs some love.
In fact...it's at the shop right now getting some new "shoes". The tires the truck came with when he bought it last summer are crapola and have recently started cupping as well. We're having the suspension checked and 4 new tires put on as well today once the problem is rectified. Has anyone used the Dunlop Radial Rover RVXTs on this vehicle? The truck was useless in the snow this past winter. It would get stuck and spin like nuts in snow my Monte SS would walk through like it was nothing. I'm hoping these will be a better eyar round tire. Your thoughts and opinions are most welcome.
Also...the truck seems to be going through ignition modules. Is this a common problem? Is it a problem with the modules being defective or is there something else that's likely causing them to go? Stratford is an okay town but we're having a lot of difficulty finding a knowledgeable diesel mechanic. Even the Ford dealership here in town says they don't have anyone qualified to work on it. Sad, eh?
Anyway...I'm curious to hear what you guys think. Take care.
