Hello and Thanks

Although I had not been a member of this site until now, I have used it to learn more about my truck, since this one was my first diesel. Until recently, I didn't feel I could contribute much advice to others, but often looked her for my own answers. I have always done much of the work on my vehicles, but until this truck, they have always been gassers. Thanks to the members of this site, I now do most of the work on my PSD too. In fact, I just finished my biggest task to date. Last week, when I found diesel fuel in my coolant, this was the first place I looked. I found several threads correctly indicating it was a cracked injector cup. I didn't really have the time, nor the inclination to tackle this task, but when I took the truck to the dealer, they told me it would probably be a month before they could get to it, due to their backlog. Since I couldn't imagine being without my truck for a month, I decided to go ahead and attempt this project. I came back to this site often during the project for additional information, such as torque specs and other tips. I'm glad to report that thanks to many of you, my truck is back on the road. It ran somewhat poorly initially, but after about 75 miles, it was back to normal. I'm guessing it just took that long to get all the air cleared from the injectors. I bought this truck new in 2002, and can't imagine going back to gas (although diesel prices are killing me).

Thanks again. Randy
