Helloooo Dieselstop!

Hi all - just purchased an Excursion Limited 2003 6.0 Diesel. Black and Tan. 69,000 miles. Runs sweet.... just had head gaskets and new studs replace under warranty. I replaced the rotors and brakes.

My plans are to lift the truck to fit 35s. Do intake and exhaust and put her on a programmer. Also doing stereo, nav and cameras for behind the truck, behind the trailer and in the trailer.

This is my first diesel (besides my John Deere) :-). I will be needing help with the engine stuff. And also lift, rims and tires. I am mechanically inclined and will do it on my own. I am also open minded to what is working well for others.

Where is the best place to ask the questions?

I have browsed many forum sites and believe this is the place to be.

I am looking to do it right the first time!!!!!!!

Thanks

Well come to the stop. Start by going to the Excursion forum and looking around and asking question in there. Will tell you that once you get the beast lifted for get parking lots!!

Thanks bp - I had a H2 with 37s......because of the short wheel base, I was still able to stay mobile in parking lots.

Just driving the Ex without a lift is a big difference. Like learning how to drive all over again...LOL

I park in a 6'9" covered lot every day and it is fun going in and watching for low hanging singns and stuff. I did roof once then just started parking it on the 1 level because it is higher than anywhere else.

Have fun with the new toy and good luck with it.
