Pictures not allowed in sigs, but you can put one in your avatar - the photo below your username.

Or you can put a link to a photo in your sig. The photo won't show up until the member clicks on the link.

Or you can post a photo as part of any post. Use the img operator and then it will show up as this one does:

Here's the code for that photo, except the real code doesn't have any spaces in it:
[img ] http://photos.thedieselstop.com/data/500/ FBF085BLR-Winch-Option.jpg[ /img ]

Note that the URL ends in .jpg. The URL must be a photo format, so the easiest way is to always be sure the URL ends in .jpg. To get that URL, look at the photo on the internet, then right-click on the photo, then click on "properties", then copy the "address" URL from the pop-up, then paste that URL into your post. Then add the img operators around the URL.

Oops! I told you wrong.

We changed forums software a few months ago and I simply haven't learned all the tricks of the new software yet.

We're now operating under VBulletin software, which provides for photos in sigs.

Go to the software FAQ (not the diesel FAQs) and you will find:
Diesel Forum - The Diesel Stop.com - vB Code List.

Then scroll up to the menu bar at the top of most pages, and click on "My Account". Note the Control Panel on the left side of the screen. Under Settings and Options, click on "edit signature", then scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the section where you upload your signature pic.

Then in your signature include
[ / sig pic ][/sig pic] (without any spaces)
and your signature picture will be included in your sig.

At least that's the theory. I'll test it soon.

Okay, my sig pic is working now. I didn't have a a pic of my own pickup, so I ran outside and took one. Not a very good photo, but now you know why her name is Sierra Blanca.

The sig editor wouldn't allow more than a small pic, so I had to crop off most of the 7x14 CarMate cargo trailer.
