My name's Rob and I'm a contractor from Michigan. I joined the site because my company is about to buy an 89 F350 with a non-turbo 7.3 IDI to use as a mobile workshop. It has a 12 foot insulated box and a lift gate that has a capacity of at least two grown men.

I'm already getting some tips on running this beast over in the 7.3 IDI forum, so if you have any advice I'd love to hear it!

This is our second truck and the day to day stuff will be handled by the F250. So far the Super Duty has been a great work horse for us, so let's see how this oldie does.

SCA's are the most important thing in the 7.3 IDI. But then I believe you have read about that in other posts already. Other than that remember that these things are not speed demons but they pull like a freight train.

and with proper care should go well past 400,000 miles
