Just another Noob

Hey Everyone.. My name is Bruce.. I currently DD a 2000 Ford Expedition. It almost has 200K on the clock and i think its time to upgrade..

I'm a ford guy 100% for daily drivers and a Jeep guy for offroading,

I'm not sure if a diesel is right for me..

I tow my jeep maybe 6 times a year, the rest of the time i'll be using my new truck for a DD.. Not sure if all the servicing and the extra .20 a gallon down here is worth having a diesel.

That being said.. All the things i read and hear about the 6.0 scare the hell out of me, and makes my wallet threaten to file for divorce. The issue is though, i love the 2005+ body style.

I found a 2003 7.3 in the exact truck i want, but while the interior is mint, its dated and took simular to my expedition, if i get a new truck i want it to feel new as well i guess..

Is the 7.3 really that much better of a motor then the 6.0??? the 7.3 i found has 42K on the clock. I hear its not even broke in..

I guess to sum it up, should i really be all that scared of the 6.0?? Is there a year that i can buy after or before and stay away from the problems?
