Military Discounts

Well, I am not sure if this is the correct place for this post but I am a new member and this is my first thread.
After being deployed for quite a while I've decided to purchase a diesel. While overseas one has the ability to save some money as there aren't too many places to spend it in Afghanistan. I've known for a while that Dieselmanor has offered a 10% military discount. So I've decided to buy some goodies from them when I got back to the states. A buddy told me that RPM Outlet also has a military discount, so I took a look at their site. After clicking on the link for their military discount page I noticed that the wording was almost exactly the same as on the diesel manor site. I emailed diesel manor and got a response from David Murphy who stated that all of the wording on his site was in his own words and I after I told him about the RPM site he was quite perturbed that they basically copied and pasted his wording. I know who I will not be doing business with. I believe in Patriotism, not Plagiarism!

2. Discounts are not to be combined with other sales, clearance items, or promotions. If an item is already discounted, you will receive the greater discount (ie: if and intake system is 8% off, you will still be able to purchase it for 10% off).
3. To receive this discount please call in your order.
4. Once we've verified your proof of service you will no longer have to do so for future orders. Please still call in any future orders so you can tell us that you have a previous order with the discount. We will be able to easily look up your previous order and make the confirmation.

In fiscal year 2007, our combined military customers have saved a total of $6,864.00

funny thing is a just called rpmoutlet to see about ordering a motoblue exhaust, and he told me "oh the military discount doesnt apply to the exhausts".

I'm not surprised. We'll definitely grant a Mil discount on any product we sell so long as that customer is legitimately a military member.

Pretty easy decision from another standpoint. Dieselmanor is a sponsor of TheDieselStop, and RPM Outlet is NOT.
