I own a '99 F-350, bought it with 7 miles on the truck and 4 of those were by my test drive. I recently had a blinker issue. Researched this website and found many good tips. Decided it was the turn signal flasher, went to the local auto parts store and had a moment of memory lapse and let the guy talk me into the multifunction switch, which was $85 instead of the $15 flasher. Put it in the next day, guess what? Yep, the lever was not the problem, went back to the store and at first they refused to refund my money, but after calmly stating the issue, and that the employee just happend to be there that day, and having to get another manager on the phone I was refunded my money and went across the street to a competitor and bought the flasher put it in in the parking lot and viola! Blinker issue cured. My point is that if anyone is in doubt about the advice on this site, just research all posts pertaining to your issue and you could narrow it down to exactly what is wrong at least 99.9% of the time.
Thanks to all who post and tell us what is wrong and can go wrong with our trucks!
